So, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Montique, when I was making my casual rounds dropping off some samples after shooting. I got a call from my pal Yeezy to come to the shoot. I finally arrived and Kanye was on set acting hyped up especially when he saw me hee he, and Fabien was shooting him.

Peep the images that Fabien took on the day of the I-D shoot I personally thought he brought Kanye's complexion to real true form and he managed to capture the actual energy that was happening that day!

I know it has been a minute, but one has been super busy with new projects, and as I have a spare five minutes I'm going share one of my projects with you. Drew is a brand new Artist I have been working with at the moment, he is a super cool guy to work with, and one is excited to continue working with him as his music project becomes a major deal throughout the year. The idea for wardrobe styling with Drew was to keep it simple, and not go over the top with the clothing, which I think is very important for all new Artists. Now this is only my opinion which I do feel strongly about and most definitely stand by, I think some of the Stylists today have a tendency to OVER STYLE, and do waaaaaaay too much with brand new artists. I guess depending on the artist you obviously can decide where to go with the wardrobe on the basis of their personality and their attitude towards style, most stylist get over happy and plonk sunglasses and hats on the artist straight away, I mean think about it don't you think that it's a little silly considering the fact their brand new into the industry and need to showcase their profile as much as they can so the public becomes familiar with the face wouldn't you agree? Unless the Act is super insecure and doesn't really like to showcase their face I get it, but the more the face is seen the better, the more the Styling is kept simple in the beginning of their career, the more we have room to develop new styles and later keep pushing the mark to create an iconic style/figure. It was music to my ears, when I found out that Lanvin will be doing a collaboration with H&M. Lanvin is one of my favourite labels due to the classic design side of the garments, but has a theatrical flair to the pieces.

The Lanvin has an online short film showcasing random models wearing the collection, and when I say random I mean there is an old lady who probably used to be a model or could possibly be a mature model right now, running around BOUJiied up just like the younger models, which I found hilariously fun. So Be sure to save your penny's or even just go and take a browse if you can get the chance, I know what H&M consumers are like they're a little bit crazy when the designers come in. The Collection arrives in stores 20th Of November.

Montreal-based, Belarusian shoe designer Anatasia Radevich has come up with a new shoe collection which features some fibre optic lights embedded into the body of a shoe, how dope is that! Just when you thought Kanye West, Katy Perry and Rihanna got the lighting situation all up in their attire, Anatasia Radevich decides to build lights into the sides of her amazingly crafted shoes Ahhhhhhh I'm in love all over again. Radevich's Shoe subtle to the point where you could turn off the flat bar switch (embedded inside the top of the boot...) and still have a beautiful shoe mainly because of the heel and platform which are constructed to look like a doodle in the air or some mish mashed curves of a Gaudi building. The fibre optics are also embedded into a mesh panel that is surrounded by a suede upper which again, adds more design to the shoe as a stand-alone shoe as opposed to just a shoe that lights up. In any case, when that switch is on, the fibre optic splay of light is like a cell formation, something more natural, as opposed to the disco/rave antics that light-up or glow-in-the-dark shoes often display (probably because the light doesn't flash on and off...)...

The natural world definitely infiltrates Radevich's work a lot as per her last 'Biofuture' collection though she often delves into the more mysterious side of nature which is why you end up with shapes, textures and THESE fantastically conceived line-art heels that are in the rest of the Kinetik collection. There's something genuinely exciting about seeing her develop a brand of shoes that goes beyond just looking 'pretty' and translating her highly ornate style into something that can go into production. When you have the likes of Chau Har Lee being stocked by Selfridges in their new shoe floor, there perhaps is a certain shoe niche where simultaenously directional and wearable shoe design will be accepted and available to the general public as opposed to just being admired from afar with comments like "Wow, that's ART!". No, these are shoes. Shoes that can go on people's feet. They just happen to have a lot going on and that's reassuring to know despite our collective return to supposed sensible fashion sensibilities.

I have been away for a while but one is back with my favourite pieces to share with you. I am a total fan Oxfords, Brogues, Spectator, Saddle shoes and sailor strips. I have all the shoes in different colours to go with my day attire, it's not always easy wearing heels even though I love them, sometimes you need a break from wearing them in the day. I like to dream that I'm a sailor wearing my boat hat, and Brogues with my dinky bag walking down the streets of NY feeling the breeze on my skin like I'm at sea. I love navy blue sailor strips with black or beige high waist trousers paring it with a skinny rope tanned colour belt, looks great to wear in the summer with shorts Autumn with trousers & skirts.

So this was an interesting weekend for me as I was invited to the "Keep a Child Alive" Black Ball I had to share my excitement with my readers YIPPY. Anyway the Ball was amazing and very, very inspiring, and actually had me in tears for the most part, so one had to reside to the bathroom most of the night due to being super emotional, especially when people become very sick and it's out of their control due to being raped or not having the funds for protection, and in the end their health resorts to HIV & AIDS. Alicia Keys had put on this Ball in aid of Keeping a Child Alive, in order to raise awareness and to educate people about the difficulties these people are experiencing. Although there was lots of glitz and glamour fundamentally it was about reaching into those pockets and helping a great cause. Mr Christian Louboutin was there of course, and he had custom made three pairs of his shoes to donate to the charity, and the auctioning price was £15 thousand pounds, some lady is going to be very happy when she gets her shoes, but what's even more fantastic is that the proceeds go to funding medication, although I am a shoe fanatic what is more pleasurable then saving a life!

Now even though I think Bey is a good singer and has talent, styling wise she never ever did it for me, I always thought she looked a mess. But this video has actually caught my attention. I love the styling and make-up I have to give Bey 10/10 for this one. I'll always give credit where credit is due, and I can honestly say for the first time in the duration of Beyonce's career I would actually wear the pieces she has on in the video, so whoever styled her for this video she needs to keep them, they work in her favour. On the 16TH of February two days left until Fashion week is over, I’m making my way to the Diesel Black Gold show. Looking casual like a traditional farmers wife, wearing my chunky purple scarf, big coat and Wellington boots, thinking damn it’s cold and the snowstorm hasn’t stopped yet, but thinking at the same time nothing is going to stop me now. I finally get to the doors at Diesel Black Gold, and then into my seat, looking around the room admiring the ambiance noticing this is truly an Edgy Diesel Black Gold vibe, from the stone washed flooring to the Brick white washed walls. Ready and waiting for the lights to dim for the first model to make an appearance, the lights slowly go out, and then the lights came on again with a flash, the first model walks through, with what it looks like carved metal cave behind her. The collection consists of Denim of course, leather, PVC, Jump suits, Biker Jackets, jersey cottons, Plaid shirts, Military Jackets, distressed army boots, and ankle boots with metal studded straps. The male Models hair was slightly roughed up, and the females models hair was tucked in the collar of shirts and jackets, giving that I just casually threw on my clothes and stepped out the door but still looking effortlessly sexy situation. Make-up was natural and flawless and had that girl next-door freshness. Considering Diesel Black Gold is renowned to be the Edgy brand, there was freshness about this collection due to the stone washed denim, with the light stony creams and grey colour palettes. Overall the show left me feeling like I was a sexy hot teenager, feeling confident with a strong energy, just casually walking on the streets of New York without a care in the world, Diesel Black Gold definitely has that young free spirit factor about it, but isn’t that a good thing?

Betsey Johnson Wow what an amazing women. Betsey’s collection kicked off with crushed Velvets, corsets, floral rah, rah short and knee length skirts, knits, and prints. I was excited watching this show due to the fact that there’s always so much fun and Great energy when you attend to a Betsey Johnson’s show. The models walked down the runway using their hands as guns, pretending to shoot bullets, Oh I did forget to mention that Betsey’s show was called “BANG BANG” hence why the models were doing that with their hands and a few of the models were carrying a plastic toy gun. The collection consists of Bright Post-box red, Fuchsia Pinks, Turquoise, Purples with Black and Army Greens with a Western Cowboy inspired feel! As the show continued I felt like I was watching more of a theatrical show then a Fashion show, which is a great thing as I am a dreamer, it makes shows like these allot more interesting for me to watch, especially when I can imagine I’m on a set of a film or on a stage at Broadway. Favourite moment that made me Super teary eyed was when the last model came out with a banner saying “LONG LIVE MCQUEEN” My heart skipped a beat Awwww so sad we miss you MCQUEEN R.I.P. It was a beautiful thing for Betsey to do that, Betsey finished off the show with one of her cartwheels and left everyone smiling, thank you Betsey Johnson xx

"Luca Luca's collection was up next, and I was really happy with it. I loved the great use of colour and fabrics, with the likes of silk taffetas, sequins, eggplant chiffon, and tweed all making an appearance. The models make-up had really clean flawless skin, with plum lips and scooped up hair into a messy bun.
Like Ports 1961's collection, which also had a trench coat but used a more conventional trench fabric, Luca Luca took this classic look, and crafted it with silk taffeta. The photograph gives the impression that it is bronze, but in reality, it is more silver. Luca Luca had a romantic girly feel to his line, making me feel like I was in Paris, waiting for my man to come and fetch me with some white roses...! I really enjoyed his show, and it left me feeling all soothed and dreamy inside... I guess it was the Valentines ambiance that contributed to that factor."

So I started off Fashion Week slow due to the snowstorm, which almost ruined everything for me, I also had to rearrange my shoe situation due to the snow still being on the ground SIGH!! I kicked off with Ports 1961, a fresh colour pallet with a little edge, fabrics were leathers, crushed metallic, wool's, with some Tweed, and some Sparkly Fabric which I couldn't actually tell from the distance where I was sitting what it was, I wish I had gone back stage to get a closer look, my eyes deceive me at times, Oh and nude Make-up which always works wonders when there's a great use of texture in the line. The hair was down but done in a messy curl. My Favourite was of course the Trench coat, I simply have a thing for the Trench, put it this way you can design it in so many ways, but you cannot take the basic structure away from such a classic jacket, and ladies this Classic coat can also leave room for the imagination if you know what I mean hee he!

Ahhhhh so Jimmy Choo has designed a bunch of shoes for H&M this Fall, I hear you say for once we can enjoy a Designer for half the price! As I took a look at these Jimmy Choo's, I have to say I was disappointed in the out come of the idea of Choo's Designs. I was expecting something super amazing but was sadden by the limited thought that was put into Jimmy Choo's craftsmanship in creating these shoes, so for me this is a NOT EVERYTHING YOU SEE YOU MUST PURCHASE Situation. Although H&M did pleasantly come through with designing a collection that will make the shoes seem like they are SUPER HOT, so you ladies out there, if you know how to dress well I guess you all could pull them off, and I guess I it wouldn't hurt if I tried on the Electric blue foil Heels :-) Jimmy Choo's Shoes will be released in H&M stores November 14TH

Can we just appreciate the mix and blends? Rodarte mixed with a few pieces from Open Ceremony. This season to conceive their collection, the Mulleavy sister was inspired by the architect Gordon Matta-Clark and as he worked on the notions of construction and de-construction. Under the hands, clothes become as puzzles in patchwork of materials (silk, stitch, creased cotton, lace), the leather is omnipresent on tnigh boots and small squeezed leather jackets of Bondage inspiration.

Again I was a little disappointed with Margiela the first three pieces I was like really what the hell is this Bashy-ness about I felt like he was channelling Marcia from Dance Hall Queen, but putting it on a white model instead, and thinking that it's OK to do such a thing tut, tut. Anyway I after the first three the rest are my favourite pieces but they all kinda look the same, I guess some people want to see some sort of consistency within the brand instead of trying to go off and secretly trying to do Dance hall Queen clothes!

Hmmmm costume National I wasn't very impressed with this collection, although there are few pieces that could possibly be saved for a rainy day if you know what I mean... But otherwise I wasn't blown away, I have more photos to post from this line but thought it would be too much to overload the blog, so I decided to leave some space for another designer post! This line gets a thumbs down from me :-( McQUEEN on the other hand, is simply just AMAZON he can't do wrong in my eyes, at least this time the collection was more wearable then previous collections, but even the ones you can't really wear I still J' aime them just because they are theatrical pieces, and it is of course more about the ART of Fashion. I J' aime the shoes I could actually see myself wearing those shoes AHHHHH I just Love McQ good work from my favourite Designer. Grace Jones was born in Kingston, Jamaica, the daughter of Marjorie and Robert W. Jones, who was a politician and Apostolic clergyman. Her parents took Grace and her brother Randy to relocate to Syracuse, New York in 1965. Before becoming a successful model in New York City and Paris, Jones studied theater at Onondaga Community College. She is the ILLIST women alive and the original trend setter for the Rihanna's, Lady Gaga's out there. Jones secured a record deal with Island Records in 1977, which resulted in a string of dance-club hits and a large gay following. The three disco albums she recorded—Portfolio (1977), Fame (1978), and Muse (1979)—generated considerable success in that market. These albums consisted of pop melodies set to a disco beat (such as "All on a Summer's Night" and "Do or Die,") and standards (such as "What I Did for Love," "Autumn Leaves," and "Send in the Clowns").
During this period, she also became a muse to Andy Warhol, who photographed her extensively.[citation needed] Jones also accompanied him to famed New York City nightclub Studio 54 on many occasions.
Toward the end of the 1970s, Jones adapted the emerging New Wave music to create a different style for herself. Still with Island, and now working with producers Chris Blackwell, Alex Sadkin and the Compass Point All Stars, she released the acclaimed albums Warm Leatherette (1980) and Nightclubbing (1981). These included re-imaginings of songs by Sting, Iggy Pop, The Pretenders, Roxy Music, Flash and the Pan, The Normal, Ástor Piazzolla, and Tom Petty.

In April Chanel Iman tweeted about shooting a "MAJOR SURPRISE COVER" in London. Within a day Sessilee Lopez tweeted about "A MAJOR MOMENT IN FASHION," also shot in London. As the tweets suggested, they were together, shooting the cover of September's i-D alongside Arlenis Sosa and Jourdan Dunn, lensed by Emma Summerton. Fashionologie notes that i-D is "the first (and so far only) major fashion magazine to go with women of color for their September issue this season." Hopefully Jourdan and Arlenis won't let their Twitter feeds lie fallow the next time major shoots like this happen. We also have the Trace mag featuring black model Arlenis Sosa, things are about to change around here, designers step your game up use every type of model that will make the clothes on the runway look amazing other women around the world to exist you know. Once again Dr. Martens worked with Raf Simons for Fall/Winter 2009. The designer added some new flavors to the otherwise classic UK footwear range and worked with metallic colors this season. Different kind of low top and high top boots are featured in the line-up, all coming with gold, silver and bronze metallic uppers. Look out for a release in the coming months.
These are dope, they are actually for men, so any of you men out there who are Bold enough to wear these I applaud you. There is something to say about designers who push the fashion envelope, as is the case of Shanghai designer, Kim Kiroic. Now, being creative and thinking outside the box does not necessarily have to sit well with the masses/consumers. However, we think what’s most important, that people seem to bypass, is the imagination, creation and details the designers possess. Beatrice Boyle started off studying fine art at CSM and then transferred over to LCF Fashion Illustration and has specifically been concentrating on painting girls in a post-party, make-up-over-runneth teary state, which she has printed on the clothes. She has fashion-focused intentions to take her artwork and collaborate with a designer in clothes or perhaps even a runway set.

My Best Friend Vernon F.R.A.N.C.O.I.S is always looking on point, I wrote about him a few posts back Hair Stylist extraordinaire and Creative Director, Wearing Fendi's Lock cuff it's so Amazing the way the lock slots through to keep the cuff closed, this beautiful cuff also comes in a light Tan leather, red, if I remember correctly it came in Yellow too. Vernon's particular one is Charcoal suede leather, this baby will set you back a heavy $600 dollars.

After meeting Rih Rih in real life the night before the Met, it was a pleasure and of course I exchanged my details with her because one needs to make her a piece from my own collection which is coming real soon, I got super excited and was like YES she is one of the perfect candidates to wear my line. I think Rih Rih is CAMAZON, she looked just as fabulous in real life as she does on camera. Rih is rocking the Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo suit, which actually looks like one of my pieces I did ages ago, Hmmmm D&G have you been watching me sketch stuff from the past hmmm hmm? Okay, Okay so B has done it again, I know I'm really hard on her but can you blame me I still love you though??? But Bey Stop, Why, Why do you keep doing this, you get it so close to almost being right, then you somehow flop in the mitt's of things GEEZ And Peas!!! OK the vest top is nice and clean, and the J Brand Jeans are dope but one is so over the slashed jeans they have been super played out by Celebrities, and once again this look does not suit her. She wore the wrong boots with the jeans for a start, YSL cage boots cut her ankles off which make her look short and frumpy. Bey should have probably worn a shoe boot like the example I have shown with the model wearing them, or even a pair of low cut Converse pumps, the hair is a mess and then she is trying to pull off this Asbo rock chick hat which doesn't match the hairstyle because she has way too much hair going on!!! Oh and she is carrying the wrong hand bag too, come on B get it together all this money and still can't dress well OH dear like your Hubby say's you can't buy class LOL!!!!! “Sandra Backlund arrived at our knitwear company with a big case full of marvellous samples and prototypes that really amazed us,” Michele Bocchese, sales and marketing manager at the Maglificio Miles recounts. “We have met a lot of famous and talented designers at Miles, but we had never seen anything like Sandra’s pieces. Even my mother Silvia, who’s been working in this field for forty years, found it difficult to understand how Sandra could create by hand those pieces.”

The collaboration between Swedish designer Sandra Backlund and the historical Italian knitwear company Maglificio Miles started after Andreina Longhi, one of the founding members and now chairwoman of the White Club, introduced them. The Maglificio Miles was established in 1962 by Silvia Stein Bocchese. In its early days Miles was just a small laboratory with three workers but it soon turned into a successful knitwear company. At the end of the 60s Miles started an important collaboration with Yves Saint Laurent when model Lison Bonfils introduced Silvia to the French designer. Since then the company extended its portfolio, collaborating with numerous fashion houses and designers, among them also Azzedine Alaïa, Sonia Rykiel, Giorgio Armani and, more recently, Lanvin and Marc Jacobs.

I believe if you have worked hard or even saved up for your favourite pair of special DARLINGS to put on your feet then Fashion seasons do not come into it, wear these shits OVER and OVER so you get your money's wroth I tell you, you will feel so much better for it.
